We're Eco friendly!
We care a great deal about skin but we also care about the planet. Here's a little bit about the environment-friendly packaging we use at Frost & Crumb.
*Our amber glass jars and bottles are recyclable and reusable! Some examples of what you can use them for, after you thoroughly clean them {we recommend putting the jars - not the lids - in the dishwasher}, are:
- small indoor plants
- candles
- makeup brush holders
- desk/office needs {paper clips, rubber bands, pens, etc.}
- sewing essentials
- crafts
- jewelry
- coins
*We use bubble wrap paper that is made from 100% recyclable kraft paper and dessert boxes made from recyclable kraft cardboard. The shipping boxes are made of recycled and post-consumer cardboard, and printed with water- and algae-based inks. The white spiral paper fill is made with 95% recycled paper fiber and is far less messy than the crinkle stuff. All packing materials ship to us flat, so they take up less space.
*The thermal liners we use during the warmer months, to keep butters and scrubs as cool as possible, are curbside recyclable and repulpable.
*Lastly, the gray wrapping paper we use is Lotka paper. Each sheet is unique, as the paper is handmade by rural craftspeople in Nepal, from the bark of the Daphne Papyraceae bush. What remains after the bark has been removed, is dried and used by the villagers for cooking fuel and heat for their homes. All of the water used in the process is reclaimed and reused. A little life hack for you... Save it and, instead of store-bought wrapping paper, use this beautiful paper - along with the linen ribbon your box was wrapped in - to make your next small gift extra special!
We hope you'll do what you can for the environment and recycle, reduce, and reuse our packaging materials whenever possible!
